Club Information

Welcome

For anyone interested in becoming a member of table tennis club Veldhoven, we’ve listed the most important information below. You probably already know how much fun table tennis can be — and where better to play than at our friendly club? On this page, you can read about the different options, playing times, and the events we organize. TTV Veldhoven is a club for all ages, whether you’re competitive or relaxed, but above all for anyone who wants to stay active.

Our association

Table Tennis Club TTV Veldhoven was officially founded on November 13, 1975, to make it possible to practice the sport of table tennis in Veldhoven. In 2026, we have more than 200 members, placing us among the 10 largest clubs in the Netherlands. Our youngest players are six or seven years old, while some of our members are over seventy and still enjoy a spirited game of table tennis every week. Our club welcomes both recreational and competitive players.

We are the only table tennis club in Veldhoven and are affiliated with the Dutch Table Tennis Association. TTV Veldhoven has a broad base of recreational players and competition players at both regional and national levels. At the moment, we have 16 senior teams (NTTB), 9 youth teams (NTTB), and 2 senior teams (TLE).

In addition to table tennis, the club also offers a lively social atmosphere. We have a beautiful sports hall and a warm, inviting meeting area.

Several committees, together with the board and many volunteers, are actively involved in organizing both table‑tennis‑related and social activities. We host the N.T.T.B. and T.L.E. competitions, the club championships, the veterans’ tournament, and the always well‑attended Oliebollen Tournament. In addition, the club regularly organizes other events such as a quiz night, bingo night, family day, and the New Year’s reception. Every year, we try to organize a fun activity for the youth as well.

Many members have made friends here and enjoy spending their free time at the club.

Table tennis hall

Since May 31, 1986, the club has been playing in a spacious facility specifically designed for table tennis, located at Burg. van Hoofflaan 147 in Veldhoven. This “table tennis palace” was created by the members in cooperation with the Municipality of Veldhoven. We are very proud of our facility and take good care of it. As a new member, we also expect you to treat the playing area with the same care.
Downstairs, there is a sports hall measuring 30 by 12 meters, easily large enough to set up a dozen tables. There are changing rooms and restrooms, including accessible facilities. Upstairs, there is a cozy lounge area with a bar and tables. We also have a stairlift. Through the windows, players can be watched from above.

Training groups and playing times

Every member is assigned to a training group in principle. Whether you want to play matches in league competition is entirely up to you. If not, you can join the recreational group. Those who do want to play competition are placed on a team by the Technical Committee. The youth selection groups and competition groups are trained once or several times per week by certified table tennis instructors.

TTV Veldhoven also has a daytime group for members who want to play table tennis in the mornings. Youth members are always placed in a group based on their abilities, potential, and personal preferences. Beginning adults are placed in the recreational group, from which they can move up to another group over time. More advanced new members can discuss with the Technical Committee which group is most suitable.

Kleding en materialen

The club colors of TTV Veldhoven are black and red. You can see this on the building façade, in the club magazine, and even on the benches in the playing hall. In consultation with our shirt sponsors, a shirt — and optionally shorts — is selected. The club shirt is available at a reduced price, and competition players can purchase shorts and additional shirts at cost price.

Table tennis paddles must be purchased by members themselves. The trainer can offer advice. We especially recommend that beginners make use of this guidance so they don’t buy a paddle with rubbers that are too advanced or too expensive. Special beginner paddles are available (directly in stock).

Outdoor shoes are not allowed in the sports hall, nor are sports shoes with black soles. Table tennis equipment can be ordered through the club (20% discount) by sending an email to bestellen@ttvv.nl. Our supplier for table tennis equipment is Posno‑Sport.

Informatiekanalen

Volunteers

Like every association, TTV Veldhoven cannot function without the help of volunteers. In fact, all tasks — except for the trainer roles — are carried out by volunteers. Several committees have been formed, such as the Technical Committee, the Events Committee, and the Facilities Management Committee, to keep the club running smoothly. If you would like to contribute, you are more than welcome. You might help with coaching, running bar shifts, transporting youth players to tournaments, creating the club magazine, managing the website, organizing events, finding sponsors, joining the board — and much more. Even helping out once in a while with small tasks is greatly appreciated.

Once a year, TTV Veldhoven hosts a special evening to thank all volunteers for their efforts.

Membership fee

The semi‑annual membership fee is (as of July 1, 2025):
For youth members (up to and including 17 years):€61.00
For youth competition players:€78.00
For senior recreational members up to 55 years:€66.00
For senior recreational members 55 years and older:€61.00
For senior competition players:€92.00

Starting with the fourth family member, a 50% discount applies. The membership fee is adjusted each July based on the price index. The fee is collected twice a year, in January and July, through automatic direct debit. The authorization form is included and must be signed and submitted together with the registration. If you join partway through the year, you pay a proportional amount.

Become a member?

If you decide to become a member, you should inform the trainer or a contact person from the Technical Committee. Placement in a group is always determined in consultation between the trainer and the Technical Committee. They know whether there is a waiting list or if immediate placement is possible. It is important that each member is assigned to the right group — the one that suits them best.

Beginning youth members always start in the Youth Beginners Group. After that, we assess whether the child is in the right group or should move to another one.

You can register as a member by completing the digital registration and authorization form below
